The Birthday Party

So Baby Bear's first birthday party was a hit! The house ended up looking really cute and almost everyone we invited came. We suprisingly loved all the gifts but two little outfits. Not so much that they were ugly, we just don't like that particular type of outfit. So we went and exchanged them and found items that we loved. Now I get to put her in a new outfit every day and she has tons of new toys to keep her happy for a while. Grandma is still here, but she leaves today. We loved seeing everyone and her party went pretty well. But we learned a few things. I am so not cut out to be a host. I felt like I was being pulled into a million directions. I didn't really talk to anyone and I barely got a chance to play with my daughter during the party except for during gifts and presents. Then there was the fact that there were almost 30 people in my house. It was nuts. We might do the party somewhere else next year or do a party for friends and a party for family. I felt like I worked so hard for so long and it was just over in a flash. I'm sure it will feel more rewarding when she gets a little older and I can see her enjoying it more. But as of right now I think it went well but I am also happy that it is over! LOL!!
