The 4th of July was a relaxing day in my house. It was over 100 degrees outside so we did our best to stay in as much as we could. We did, however, run down the road and purchase a couple of things to let Baby Bear celebrate the holidays. We let her stay up a little later and did our own little celebration.
This was taken at almost 9:00 when it was finally getting dark enough to go outside and be able to see everything. Papa Bear bought a big thing of sparklers and she loved them! Then we had a couple of small scale fireworks that we set off and she loved looking at the, but not listening to them.
Overall it was an amazing day with my little family. I have to admit though that I really hope next year she will be a little less afraid of fireworks and we can taker her to a big show. She watched the one on TV in New York and she LOVED it. She was singing to it and dancing right in front of the tv while watching it. I would love to see what she really does when your actually there. But like I said, she is normally too afraid and it was too hot, so we skipped this year.
Next Year it is on!

How fun!! We always did sparklers a children and it was the highlight of the 4th. Glad y'all beat the heat and enjoyed the day!
ReplyDeleteI really love this pic of you two!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute picture! We had a pretty "lame" 4th over here but next year we'll make up for it. It followed a busy weekend for W's birthday so I think we were just all spent!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to do something fun but also with fireworks starting so late, it just wasn't going to be the best time to keep W up late.
Have a great weekend!
Such a cute picture!! She is loving the sparklers! :) I hope it cools off there for you. This heat is the worse!
