For the fist couple of years of a child's life the parents get to choose everything. I have always picked out punky butt's outfits, fixed her hair, and she has always just went with it and loved it when we were done.
Suddenly my reign has come to an end. My opinions don't matter at all and I don't get to choose what she wears or how her hair is done without her okay first. Well the okay only works on clothes. I literally have no say in her hair because if she doesn't want it the way that I fixed it she will just pull it down.
This is a sad sad day for me, as well as a proud day as a momma.
Her style is showing through as an individual. I am excited to take her shopping for spring clothes. She loves dresses and sandals. So I have a feeling I know what will dominate her summer wardrobe.
But when it comes to her hair there is on;y one style that she will LET me do right now. She has to have a TIGHT low lying pony tail. If I do anything else she will pull it out, and if it isn't tight enough she asks me to do it again.
I am curious to see how this changes as she grows.
Its so fun watching her become the independent little girl that she is, and I am so excited to see what kind of little lady she becomes!
