She is Winter Ready!!!

12.14.2013

The year before we moved up here we came to visit the MIL for Christmas. I am from Georgia where the weather is nothing like it is up here. I have seen maybe 3 blizzards in 20 something years of living. And the blizzards there are like a normal winter here. lol.  So buying a snowsuit is a whole new thing for me.  Anyways... back to what I was saying... When we got up here my MIL had bought Sydney a snowsuit and a pair of snow boots. It was so funny and so cute to see my little 2 year old walking around like a little marshmallow girl! That snowsuit was 18 months and this winter she has finally grown out it and the boots (2 years is a good amount of use in my opinion). So this year I got to go shopping for snow gear for my little punk.

I had seen some at Target a while back, and thought they were cute, but it wasn't a rush for the moment and so we waited. Then the more I thought about it, those were so much cuter than the ones I have seen at any of the local stores, and way cuter than the one she has been wearing the last two years. So this week our mission was to get Sydney winter ready. Target really came through for us. We got everything but the boots there.

The cutest thing about it all is that we tried on several different jackets and she LOVED this one (so did i), and then yesterday when we were searching for boots for her we gave her several options and she just LOVED these! Kamiks do run small though so we went up a couple of sizes. But she was absolutely against getting anything except for the ones that SHE liked and SHE wanted.

Overall I am in LOVE with it, and I can not wait for our first BIG SNOW (we only have a couple of inches right now) so that I can see her cute little butt playing in this!!!

I also got a new coat that I am in love with!

My MIL got it for me for Christmas and went ahead and gave it to me. I have never had a TRUE winter coat and this thing is so warm!!! I could die!
