Screw Winter

It it 3:00 in the afternoon and I am sitting here in my pajamas and a sweatshirt. Why you ask?? Because it is F****ING COLD outside.  When i say cold I mean -55! So on days like today I want nothing more than to forget that it's winter! 

The other day this is exactly what we did! There is a botanical gardens nearby that has an indoor terrarium that is always warm and humid! On a cold, dry, winter day this sounds amazing!!!

So while we went all bundled up and prepared for the freezing cold weather that we are experiencing, we were able to take off our winter gear and just leave it at the door. We just walked around and looked at all of the beautiful plants and the cute little birdies. This also lets our skin soak up some of the humidity so that we aren't all dry and itchy all day long. Winter itch is seriously a bitch!

After the Garden we went out to eat a bite for lunch. Sydney was so good at lunch that we decided to go and try this self serve frozen yogurt shop right across the parking lot. 

Can you tell which side was mine? lol.  It was really a cool place. It doesn't matter what size container you get or what you put in it because they go by weight of the yogurt and toppings alone, and it was so cheap. Then there was that little splitter to put in there so that you can get whatever YOU want and still share. I was IN LOVE. Obviously so was she. We left and she was in such a great mood, but not even three minutes down the road she passed out and slept the ENTIRE drive home. AND that drive included a stop by Target so that I could run in and grab a new planner. I got it for $7.99 and I LOVE it!!!

It was such a great family day! I am so glad we went and were able to forget about winter, even if it was only for a little while. Now it is back to reality and we are risking frostbite by going outside!
