Normally on Thursdays I do a Facts About Me post. I decided to skip it this week because my heart just isn't into writing that post. Don't worry though because I have a different one in mind! I decided that I would tell you about something fun that we did last night instead!
I know that this may not sound like a big deal to most people, but last night my little family actually got dressed cutely and then we decided to go out for dinner to treat ourselves. We went to a local Romano's and it was delicious! We went early enough that we were practically the only people there(which is awesome because Baby Bear isn't the best with eating out) so we didn't have to worry about disrupting anyone's meal. We had a nice meal and then went and did a little shopping.
We went into Carters and all they have out is spring clothes. I get that a lot of people buy ahead so it's great for them! But what about the people who want to buy for now? There was literally not a single long sleeve shirt that wasn't a onesie or a zip-up hoodie. So we went into a store that we haven't gone into since she was a baby. We went to Baby Gap. Now that she is in bigger sizes they have some of the CUTEST clothes there for her. All we have ever bought from there before was her very first swimsuit.
I fell in love with this swimsuit when we saw it and just had to get it! But I wasn't crazy about the rest of the clothes for her size. That has all changed! We got her a pair of jeans (love their jean sizes) and three shirts! We have to go back today because the guy who was at the register forgot to take off one of the anti-theft tags. But I can't wait for her to wear her new clothes! Believe it or not she doesn't have a huge closet full of adorable winter clothes! Only a few select items that still fit because even though she doesn't weigh much more my little girl seems to be growing! That's crazy right?
It was so nice to get a little dolled up and have an evening out of the house with my family. I hope it is something that we can start doing a little more often!
I hate how stores are ahead, it never fails me one of my girls always has a growth spurt towrds the end of the season and I need something!! Tj maxx never fails me though if you happen to have one near you! :)
ReplyDeleteI know I just had to go get some clothes for Nolan...and spring clothes...um he has zero! I guess he'll run around naked! :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how refreshing it can be to mix it up and just get out of the house?! I'm so glad you got to have an evening of fun. That swim suit is ADORABLE! I kind of want it for myself :)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a fun evening out! We rarely go out because we never wanna mess with Morgan's bedtime, but sometimes, you just gotta shake things up a bit! I LOVE Baby Gap, but I try to only LOOK/BUY (because if I look, I'll buy) when stuff is on sale. Now you're tempting me to go look...I will blame you if I buy, lol!
