We have only a few friends here, but luckily all of these friends have children around Baby Bear's age. When S was a baby I always thought about the play dates we would have and what it would be like. What I never knew was that the playdates wouldn't just be for her.
These play dates don't happen as often as we would like (hint hint Becky! We need to get together again soon!), but when they do happen it is amazing how much I enjoy them. I love them because S gets to interact with other children her age and she burns a ton of energy. But I also love that I get to spend time with other moms. I love Papa Bear more than anyone could EVER KNOW, but sometimes it is so nice to talk to another mom face to face and know that your kiddos are having so much fun together.
We had a play date Thursday morning and I actually got to host it. It was so much fun for me to clean the day before because I knew that someone was coming over. Umm hello! I want you guys to think I keep a much cleaner house than what I really do. Then there is the figuring out of the food and anything else you may need or want. We just kept it simple and did sandwiches and a dessert that they brought over. It made me realize that having playdates is something i want to do way more often. If we could we would do at least one a week!
Now the weather just needs to warm up here so that we can have outdoor play dates. When it's sunny we belong outside!!!
