A Happy Halloween

11.02.2013

I hope that you all had a very HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I know that we did.

I have a little diva of a girl and dress up comes quite often for us! So Halloween is just one of the most amazing holidays ever if you as Sydney.

Last week we had a Halloween party at the Library and she was so excited! I honestly expected her to dress up as Ladybug Girl for the party since that was what she was going to be for Halloween. But she decided that she wanted to wear last year's costume and be a pirate. Who was I to say no??? I mean really... she still fits in it and it was perfect considering how cold it was outside.
She had a blast at that party. There were games, crafts, and COOKIES! She loved everything about it. Then getting to play afterwards in the library was just the cherry on top.

So skip ahead a few days and we wake up on Halloween to an excited little girl who wants to make muffins and then get dressed up in her costume. We had a few errands to run that day, but she was going as Ladybug Girl and not Sydney.
I mean seriously how cute is she??? And I think she was the perfect little character from one of her favorite books from the library. While we were out and eating lunch we actually saw a little girl dressed up as Bumblebee Girl from the same book series. I thought it was so cool when the mom got that she was being a character and not just a ladybug. It honestly probably made my day.
Then once we were home we had to wait around until we ate dinner and it was time to go trick or treating. But wouldn't you know it... it was raining and a little chilly here. So the wings went over her jean jacket and a pair of gloves went on. Then little miss was fighting the wind for her umbrella along the way. It was so fun, and she got WAY TO MUCH candy. I keep walking by and seeing it on the counter along with the candy we had for trick or treaters and am having to FORCE myself not to devour it.
