Garlic & Herb Stuffed Bell Peppers

10.26.2011

This was our second attempt at stuffed bell peppers. This time was WAY better than the last!

Garlic & Herb Stuffed Bell Peppers

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb (thawed) ground beef
  • 3 bell peppers
  • 1 box of garlic and herb flavored rice ( i think it was rice a roni)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • minced garlic
  • muenster cheese
  • parmasean cheese
  • 1 egg
  • worcestershire sauce
  • hot sauce
  • vidalia onion dressing

Directions:
  1. First you will cook the rice. Just follow the directions on the box.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350 f
  3. Once your rice is cooked mix 90% of your rice in with your ground beef. Add the egg, a little minced garlic, a dash of worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, a dash or two of your hot sauce. Then sprinkle it with parmasean cheese and mix it all together.
  4. Not you will cut the tops off of your bell peppers, i used three, and you will remove the core and all of your seeds and rinse it out.
  5.  Not you are ready to stuff your peppers. Make sure you put as much in there as you can, and I make it kinda piled on tightly at the top too for appearance. You will have some of the meat mix left over and i usually make a little loaf out of it and cook it at the same time. It's great if you have a kid that won't eat out of the peppers like i do.
  6. Now you will put the peppers in one pan and the loaf in another. I always cover the pans with aluminum foil to make cleanup ALOT easier.
  7. Cook your peppers and your little loaf for about forty-five minutes to an hour, draining any grease that comes out. In the last 5 minutes pull it all out and cover it with thinly sliced muenster cheese and put it back in to melt.
  8. When you pull it out and put your peppers on your plate drizzle it with your vidalia onion dressing. I usually keep the dressing out because we always add more to it.
Now all that is left to do it enjoy!
