I did it!!

Have you noticed anything new here?

I finally came up with a new design for my blog. I have had several ideas over the last few months, but nothing that I really loved and was motivated to make.

I have known one thing all along. When I completed this design I just knew that I wanted a blog design that contained no real header. I love how it looks to have an image on the sidebar instead of a header. It kind of lets your content take center stage, and I love that!

So other then that I have been lost for a long time on what to do for my design. Every time I would look for colors I would get overwhelmed (Yes, I do realize that these are simple things that I usually ask all of my clients to do before contacting me) and I would just give up and figure that something will pop out at me eventually.

At some point I realized that I missed my little bear that I used to have, but have only been using in my favicon for the last few months. The bear is what helped me establish my branding! I mean my blog is called the MB diaries for a reason! MB stands for Momma Bear! (Have I ever told you guys where my blog name came from?)

Well after posting this post I decided to take another stab at looking at Pinterest. Then I saw something that I remembered pinning a while back specifically because I liked the color scheme for my blog!

So I played around with the colors and ended up removing the orange. But I loved the overall feel! It was basically an updated version of my old color pallet. Which I loved, but had grown a little bored with. Once I did my editing, this is the color pallet I came up with!

 

I am now sort of IN LOVE with my new design! It is a little more fun, more creative, and all around more of what I feel my design should be as a blog designer! I think that it will definitely be motivating me to blog a little more. I have already had a couple of ideas just in the time that I have been typing this post!!! 

So.... What do you guys think?!?
