excitement

9.17.2012

I can not believe that we have only nine days left until Baby Bear turns 3!
The planning is in full swing now! If you know me this means that I have several lists going on and am working very hard to mark something off every day! Even though we have nine days until the birthday party, I only have 6 days to mark everything off on my list. My little sister is flying in and her flight gets here on Monday. So I want to have everything done by Sunday. This includes the detailing cleaning of the house, buying all of the decorations, wrapping the gifts as they arrive in the mail, getting the spare room set up, going through all of Baby Bear's clothes/toys and donating a ton, cleaning up the yard just in case it is warm enough for all of the kids to play outside, and completing all of the designs that I have started since I will be closing while my sister is here. Whew! That may not sound like alot to some people. But I write out detailed lists and lets say I have three or four going. We did already order a cake though, and this year Baby Bear requested a certain theme. Want to know what it is?
This year we are having a Tinkerbell birthday party! She LOVES them! I would love to say that I am spending a ton of money and making my house look like Pixie Hollow. But truthfully, we are just going to dress the house up a little for her. But I know that I don't have to spend hundreds of dollars on decorations for her to love it, and I am not going to do ALL of that when its really just a few family members and a couple of friends coming. (by the way, am I the only one who ha anxieties when I think of that many people in my house?) I think I will save my mad decorating skills for when she is older. lol! We are using some of that money to buy her more presents instead. I'm so excited for her party this year because she has finally reached an age that she can do everything on her own! We get to watch her tear into her own presents and just have fun!
She is already so excited! She has been telling every single person she sees that her party is soon and they are invited (even the clerks at Wal-Mart. haha!). Then when she goes to bed, when someone leaves the house to go to work, or when we are getting off of the phone with someone, she yells out "Don't forget about my BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!" I am loving seeing her this excited about it! AND she doesn't even know that her aunt Tukka (it's a nickname) is coming up! On Monday we are just going to tell her we are going for a ride and get in the car. I'm sure she will figure it out when we get to the airport. But until then we have tried not to say a peep! I am even going to try to set up the spare room at nap times so that she doesn't start asking too many questions. I will just have to try to keep that door closed this week, but that works perfectly because that's where we are hiding the gifts as they get here anyways.
Well, I think I have shared enough excitement for today. haha! I am afraid my posts for the next week are going consist of me not being able to believe that she is already turning three! Sorry guys. :-)
