So when I started this journey less than a month ago I thought that I was eating well. I was so freaking wrong that it isn't even funny!
So when I had my session and we started discussing diet I wrote everything he said down!!!
Here are the notes that I took:
Great Vitamins- one-a-day vitamin, folic acid, a&b complex
Good Supplements- a bulking fiber mix and Wheybolic Extreme 60 (he said you will ONLY USE 1 SCOOP)
Great Drinks- lots of water, low sodium V8, Gatorade, and green tea.
Meal Plan:
Breakfast- kashi cereal w/skim milk or oatmeal with fruit and egg white. Something along those lines
Snack
Lunch- a protein rich meat and a veggie. Canned tuna or chicken work great if your in a hurry.
Snack
Dinner- a healthy dinner along the same guidelines as lunch. A protein rich meat and veggies.
Bedtime Snack- fat free cottage cheese or greek yogurt are great just before bed because it is harder for you to digest so your body never fully goes to sleep when you do.
Good Snacks- fruit, almonds (or any natural unsalted nut), fat free cottage cheese, greek yogurt, kashi bars (or something similar), and veggies.
Good Meats- any fish (tuna, tilapia, salmon, SHRIMP, etc), chicken, turkey, or pork. If you do beef it needs to be VERY lean! It's just really hard for your body to digest.
Great Fast Meals- any lean cuisine :-)
Obviously this doesn't plan your menu out for you. But it gives you an idea of what you should eat day to day.
Mainly you focus on getting alot of protein, fiber, and the right nutrition, while making sure you are watching your sodium intake. I am really learning alot while going through this!
