We woke up yesterday morning and it started snowing. It has snowed a couple of times. But it was only flurries and it didn't even think about sticking to the ground and accumulating. As soon as it started at seven something in it started accumulating.
So what did I do? I hurried up and finished my kashi breakfast and then went on to the gym before it started to really snow and I would be nervous to drive.
So after I worked my butt off I went home and we all started to shower and get ready. Have I mentioned that Sydney now likes to shower with me in the mornings? I don't really mind it because then we don't have to do night time bath and her hair is all nice and clean.
So we all showered and started getting ready because we had big plans. We were going to see Santa!
There is this holiday train that comes through my tiny little town and they stop and Santa gets off and says hello to the boys and girls and there is a little concert on the train.

It was cold, but we did have fun waiting.
And silly me thought that we would mainly be indoors so I didn't bring the hat when my mother in law offered it. I learned my lesson since my warmest coat doesn't have any sort of a hood. So she ended up giving me hers since she had a had and a hood. lol
Still patiently waiting, but I love this picture that PB snapped of us. for some reason it's just a keeper to me. Maybe it's the hand holding.

Then when Santa got off of the train he started to hand out candy canes to all of the little boys and girls. I thought that there would be a picture time but there wasn't. So we will go and do that still. But She loved seeing him and him actually talking to her for a second. There was also a concert going on on a stage that kind of popped off of the train. It was fun. But soooo cold. So a couple of minutes after meeting Santa we went back to the building that had cookies and hot chocolate. She was so cold that she was shivering.
But going back to that building was when Sydney had the most fun that she'd had the whole time. Do you see the little girl in the purple hat at the bottom of the picture and the mom right beside me that is wearing child number two? Well that little girl's name is Hannah and the mom's name is Amanda. I know it is awful but I can not for the life of me remember her other little girls name. I actually don't think she ever said it. But when we went back to warm up and get some cookies and cocoa they went to warm up to. Sydney asked if she could go and say hello. I said of course and we ended up standing there for a while talking while Sydney and Hannah ran around playing. We exchanged numbers and will be setting up a play date in the near future. I'm excited to have met someone who lives so close to me. We live like 5 minutes apart... if even.
So overall it was a great day! And I had started a new recipe in the crock pot before we left so when we came home it was hot and ready! I loved it!
