I'm back!!!
I'm still so excited about this link up that Jen is hosting!
I have actually done a couple of fitness posts that you might be interested in. I posted my first workout routine that my trainer gave me, and then I gave you the notes that I took about my diet.
So, since I have been posting alot about fitness lately, today I am going to use the link up to tell you how I have done this last week or so.
So first off let's go with food..
This one is definitely the hardest! After all losing weight is 80% about food ans 20% about exercise. We have been doing really good with this though. Or at least trying our very best. We went grocery shopping and, aside from a few items for Sydney, we stuck to our guidelines and got so much food! With all of this new food we tried three new recipes that I found on this site. We made a crock pot meal, meat muffins, and stuffed peppers. I tweaked the peppers a little by cooking them once they were together just to soften the pepper. But my favorite by far was the meat muffin. They were AMAZING!!! So eating better is making us try new recipes and that has been so fun here. We were definitely getting into a food rut.
Now on to exercise...
I feel like I have been doing great in this department. I have been making sure that I go to the gym five days a week. It is supposed to be three hard days and two off days, but I have a really hard time going to the gym and doing something easy. So I work it all five days. This week I worked it extra hard on those days because I had my second and third sessions with my personal trainer. Monday was a hard workout with him, but let me just tell you that yesterday really kicked my ass! It took me like an hour to stop being red and sweating and the only way I felt normal was to keep moving. This morning I am SORE! I'm not dying, but I'm pretty darn close. I am taking today as one of my two off days, but after that I'll get back to my normal gym schedule and I will be good. And since my lady bug is here I am thinking that tomorrow I may try a yoga class. Did you know that is something proven to help with your period symptoms? I didn't until the other day, but I am glad to know that now!
I did make one mistake this week that I told myself I wouldn't do. I was feeling really great at the gym and have been feeling great in general so I thought I would check my weight. Little did I know I was like a day before starting my period and starting to bloat. Because I had gained a couple of pounds back according to the scale. When I told Jody that she said that is more than normal when your time is here. But when I feel great to have someone check my fat index. Because my weight may not be going down, but my fat may be and I may be building more muscle. So now i just have to stay off of the scale and wait for my monthly weigh in soon.
Overall I feel that I am still doing good. I am making healthier choices even if we go out, but I am hoping that it is, or will start, really showing soon.
