Have any of you ever heard of the
Ladybug Girl books? A month or so ago we checked them out at our library and I read these books to Sydney constantly. She has even decided that she wants to be ladybug girl for Halloween. So you could day that she is loving ladybugs right now.
We had been planning to do a cupcake theme for quite some time and then one day we were at the store and she saw this kit with red and black polka dot cupcake liners, eyes, and little antenna. From the moment she saw these all of our party plans changed. Now she would be having a ladybug birthday party too.
This year her party was going to be all about Sydney which is exactly what we wanted. This year it was a party for KIDS. I was so excited about this because of how last year's birthday party ended not so great because we didn't know many people and we weren't the ones who did all of the inviting.
As you can see we kept things pretty simple. Sydney helped make and decorate the cupcakes and we just decorated the dining room. We had snacks like chips, pretzels, and goldfish, and we ordered pizza. Yes, it was super simple compared too some of the birthday parties that I see posted on blogs, but it was absolutely PERFECT for Sydney. Once it was set up she was in love and ready for her friends to arrive. There were going to be EIGHT little girls between the ages of two and four running through our house. So I child proofed the house in every way that I could think of the day before. I can not tell you how happy I am that we did. They were running back and forth constantly and having so much fun.
At the end of the night she was exhausted and had such a great day, and clean up was done within an hour of everyone leaving, so if you ask me... Her 4th birthday party was a hit!!!
Happy Birthday Sweet Girl! Love the decorations!
