Story Time

Over the summer our local library was doing some major construction. Now that they are done it is an amazing place to go. There is actually now a children's library that is separate, but attached instead of just a corner of the library like it used to be.

Sydney LOVES going to the library. We have been going once a week for a while. She returns her books, chooses two or three new ones, and then she goes straight to the toys to play for a while. 

Since she loves the library so much I thought that maybe we would give weekly story time a try. So we registered for the one that we new her friends Hannah and Ariella were also signed up for. 

We have gone twice now and we LOVE IT! I don't know what i was expecting...but they dance and sing, use sign language, and have interactive activities. Then there is Sydney...she is so funny. She has a way of getting all eyes on her at times and she hams it up! And every week it is different, but this week there were these two girls named Dylan and Lia, and Sydney decided that during this story time she would best friends with these girls.

I love that she has that quality. She has never met a stranger and is fast friends with all kids her age.I truly hope that she will always be that way. It will make going to school more fun for her next year.

I am loving taking Sydney to things like swimming lessons and story time. It gets us out of the house, gives her something to look forward to two days a week, and makes me feel a little at home if that makes any sense at all.
