Fitness Friday

1.25.2013

It has been way too long since I have done a fitness post on here AND linked it up!
Don't worry (not that you were... lol) I have totally still been working out and kicking ass if I do say so myself! Do you remember this post where I was beating myself up and so upset because I had basically stopped for two weeks and gained a little weight back?
I think I  needed that set back to truly motivate myself.
Since this post I have started going to the gym 4 to 5 days a week and I have been eating better. I stopped doing what the trainer gave me to do and started looking at other sources. My gym is Anytime Fitness and they have exercise plans on there. I did it for a week, and I really enjoyed it, but after a week it just wants you to repeat it. That doesn't really work for me. I am someone who likes to have a set list of what to do at the gym because I know NOTHING about working out! So ,even though I did lose weight in that week, I decided I wanted to try something else so I kept looking. I found Jamie Eason's Live Fit Trainer. It has me working out 4 days a week and tells me exactly what to do! I think I am going to add cardio to each day, but other than that I am going to keep doing this and I think it will really help!
I know that the first four days of it have really kicked my butt! Wednesday I worked my legs and then I made an AWFUL MISTAKE!!! We went and had our stay-cation and I didn't drink enough water AND had my cheat night/morning. Then I didn't drink enough water yesterday either! What happens when you really work muscles and then don't drink enough water?!?! A TON OF PAIN! As in, I was sore last night, but this morning I woke up and could barely walk!!!  My calves are so sore when i start walking that i literally walk like an old woman. It has happened before when I worked my arms and didn't drink enough water. So I know it will go away, but it is so sore. I haven't decided if I will try to work out today or not. But if not today then tomorrow. My next workout is abs, and this is an area I really want to work. So I have to do it! lol.
I have now lost 10 pounds, which means I am 1/3 of the way to my goal weight, but unfortunately weight isn't all I want to focus on. I want to tone up EVERYTHING! So I think I have a long journey ahead of me! I have a feeling that this journey will actually never end. Once I get to my goal I will always want to maintain, and keep a healthy lifestyle!

So now that I think I have exercise figured out... I would like a little help with food!
I have been looking up recipes like crazy, and it all gets a little overwhelming.
Who wants to send me some super yummy and super healthy recipes?

Now I want to say a thanks to Jen for hosting this great link up and motivating  me to write about my journey to a happier and healthier me.
