We Are Moved

Hi everyone!  

I feel like I have been gone for way too long!!! Did you all enjoy the guest posts? 

We are officially moved into our new house in our new state! We actually got here on April 1, but I wasn't blogging (even though I was dying to) so I haven't been able to give you guys any updates! Fair warning this could be a pretty long post!

First of all we had an unexpected delay on Saturday that had us leaving 9 hours behind schedule! The drive itself wasn't too bad though. My little sister (aka Tukka) rode with us for the trip. This made Baby Bear pretty happy. 

She fooled around like this for a good bit of our ride so I was pretty happy. Our plan was to leave our old house at 3 am and arrive to our new house around 5 or 6 pm. Since we were delayed by 9 hours, we ended up leaving around 12:30 pm and drove straight through the night (aside from a 2 hour nap at a rest stop). A drive that should have taken around 15 hours ended up taking 20. So lets just say that was the LONGEST drive ever!  

Around 8:00 am we arrived to our new house. We spent the day unloading the trucks and just making sure we had our beds together for the night. We did a little unpacking that day, but not nearly as much as what I would have hoped because we were just so exhausted.

Since Tukka rode up with us we decided that we would spend our time together showing her around more than unpacking. She would only be with us until Thursday morning and we wouldn't want to waste that time! 

So on Monday we did a little unpacking. Then we all showered and got ready to go out. We went and had a bite to eat and then took her to a nearby town. 

We had fun walking around and just spending time together!

Then on Tuesday we went to a nearby lake to have a picnic. It was a very pretty day, but SUPER WINDY. We were bundled up, but we had a blast exploring and playing together. 

We had so much fun and were kind of exhausted by the time we got back to the house. 

Wednesday was the really fun day! We went to the ZOO!!! We have taken Baby Bear once before, but I think she may have been like 8 months old, so it's not like she really remembers it or had that much fun. This time was a completely different story. She LOVED it!

We had a ton of fun that day! We wanted to make sure to live it up since it was Tukka's last full day in our new state with us. I'm so happy we chose to do the zoo on this day!

Thursday was one of the hardest days of all. I had already cried my eyes out when I said good-bye to my mom, big sister's family, and everyone that I grew up around. But when we took Tukka with us it kind of made it feel like a vacation instead of moving. We bonded during this trip. When she left it was a little empty at home.  But once she did we went to town on the unpacking. I'm sure we will be doing this for a while, but we have gotten a lot out of boxes and into their new rightful place. 

I am so happy to be back to blogging again! I missed this and I missed you all! Thank you so much to all of  you who checked in on me while I was gone! I have so many post ideas in my head that I can't wait to type up! I promise they won't all be this long!
