We finally did it. We took Baby Bear to go ride the train! She has been obsessed with trains ever since watching her first episode of Dinosaur Train. So when grandma got us free tickets to go ride a small scale steam engine we were pretty excited.

We got there just as it was unloading people and getting ready to turn around. My little almost three year old was so freaking impatient! As soon as it was empty she climbed right in. Never mind the fact that we were telling her that it would be a few minutes. I mean the whole way there she was yelling "Mr. Conductor, we are coming!!!". Why would the same child who did that be willing to wait ten minutes?

Once we got in we waited and people came around selling popcorn. This ride was going to be about 30 minutes or so, so they wanted to make sure you were all set. I seriously can not even begin to tell you how happy my daughter was on this little train ride. The train goes for about 20 minutes and then you have to get off and they disconnect the engine and turn it around and reconnect on the other end to go back. But while they are doing this, they stop and tell you a little bit about themselves and their operation.
Look at how cute of an old man our engineer was!!!
But it turns out that they are an business that works solely on donations and volunteers. So every single person that was there was there because they wanted to be there.Like most of them come in from out of state for the summer just to do this. I don't know why, but I thought that was really cool.
Anyways, once they told us a little about themselves we headed back and Baby Bear loved every second of that ride as well. When we got off she wanted to go again.
We didn't...but she wanted to
We did a few more fun little things in town until we got rained out. But it was nice to come home after going non stop for two days.
Did I tell you Papa Bear and I had a date night the night before?!?! no? Oh, well we did and it was amazing, but that may be another post all on it's own.

She looks so happy to be on the train :) I remember going on a train when I was younger and thinking it was the greatest thing ever lol...I think it had something to do with Shining Time Station.
