one year!!!

This time last year I was feeling very nervous. I had a huge fear of rejection and disappointment. I was about to take a huge leap for me, go out on a limb, and open my own business.
That's right! It has been a year since I have opened my blog designing doors.
Anyone that has ever started their own business knows what I was feeling... What if people don't like what I design? What if I fail? Am I charging too much? Too little? Should I give up and crawl into a hole if I don't have any clients for a certain amount of time?
I am so proud of how far I have come in one year! I never expected this outcome! I have met so many amazing people on this journey and learned so much! Almost every single client that I  have ever worked with have become dear friends to me! I would definitely not still be doing this today if it hadn't been for all of you! I was ecstatic to have one client a month. Now, the fact that I have consistently had a waiting list for the past couple of months is truly unbelievable! Want to know a secret?! I still have a HUGE fear that I am going to hit the end of a waiting list and the clients are just going to stop coming. Every designer has a certain style of designs, what is people stop liking my style? These are all valid fears that I think every business owner has in the back of their mind. But I never imagined that I would make it this far, and I hope I only continue to grow with this.
I really love that at my one year mark I was able to help my sister open the doors for her own business. Yesterday we launched Magan's Crafty Corner, and now she is having the very same feelings that I had. I told her its normal and she can do this! It takes time and people will eventually start coming! Who wants to go and be her first client?!
As I celebrate one year of designing, I want to say a huge thank you to all of you! Without you, I would have shut my doors months ago.
