Yesterday Baby Bear had a play date that was set up by Grandma. Let's just say that I was not looking forward to this... It actually ended up being a very interesting evening.

First we met up with our friends at the park across the street and went on a walk down the river. 

Well, we went on a walk down by what used to be the river. haha. 

I thought that the kids were so cute walking down the sidewalk holding hands. They did this most of the way. It was a really long walk.  We were walking to a place in town that has hot dogs and ice cream that my MIL just had to has been bugging us to wanted to go to. Lets just say the little high school brats working the stand were as rude as possible and the food matched the service. Luckily Baby Bear and I ate a little before we left knowing it would be pretty bad. But we "ate" and then had ice cream, then off walking we went again. 

By the time we got back to the little park across the road from my house there was a band setting up to play live music like they do every Wednesday. We normally don't go and watch or listen. But this time we were there when it started. The kids were having so much fun! They were chasing each other around the tree, playing ring around the rosie, and dancing their little butts off!

It was so freaking cute! I only wish Papa Bear could have been there! But unfortunately he had to work a late shift. 

While we were there I got to see a side of Baby Bear that I don't often see. She was the biggest social butterfly ever. There were other kids playing around us and she would walk up to them and just start talking. She hasn't been around a ton of other kids in her lifetime, so it was so great to see! She played so well with everyone! She also played so hard that when we got home we sat on the couch for 30 minutes and then it was time for bed. She fought going to the room, but once she was in there, she went right to sleep. Then mommy went right to work. What else would I do while waiting up for Papa Bear? 

So even though I was dreading going on the play date that was set up by my MIL, it ended up being a pretty great night!
