Christmas Traditions

12.26.2011

When I was growing up there was one Christmas tradition that was just something my mom and I did. She never realized it but that tradition was something that I really looked forward to growing up and it's something that I want to do with Sydney as she grows up!
As small of a thing as it may seem, the tradition that meant so much to me was making the ham with my mom. We dressed it with pineapples and cherries in a way that I called " The brain". This year was the first year that  Baby Bear  helped me with the ham. We didn't make the brain because we forgot toothpicks. But she still helped me.
She was so cute in her little apron just waiting to start decorating our ham. Well I decorated the ham. You will see what she did...
Do you notice anything missing in the second picture that isn't missing in the first picture? Every time that I put a cherry on the ham she would steal it off and eat it. Then she just tossed the stems back into the pot! It was adorable and hilarious!
This was the finished product. It normally looks different, but it was still so yummy and I got to do it with  Baby Bear . That was the important thing to me!
