Sleep, what is that?

12.16.2011

Over the last two years I have said it over and over again. My daughter dislikes sleep. I don't know why, but she does. I hear other mothers talk about how their kids start sleeping through the night and in until like 8 or 9am. Nope, not  Baby Bear . She has slept through the night. But it is vary rare. She usually wakes up at least once or twice in the middle of the night. Most of the time she will go right back to sleep so we have gotten used to it so it's not a big deal. She has always woke up around 6 in the morning which is also early, but once again we have gotten used to it over the last two years. The only thing that I'm not so happy with is the fact that lately she is waking up earlier and earlier. She went to bed like 30 minutes later and she was awake and wanting to go downstairs at 5am. So here is the looming question... Should I just start leaving her in her room until after 6. It would mean me not going in there when she wakes up. I would feel really bad doing that but we all need more sleep and I am thinking that this may be the only way we will get it. So what do YOU think?

  1. I feel ya, girl! I don't think there's anything wrong with letting her play in her crib until 6!

My daughter is very much the same way. Slept through the night at 7 weeks but only RARELY sleeps until 7. Usually she's up at 6, too. What time does she go to bed? I noticed Kate will actually sleep LATER the EARLIER she goes to bed.
