I am in no way perfect! But do you know one person who is(don't even think about saying you! haha)? I have decided that this is the year that is all about improvements. Improvements as a mother, a wife, a daughter/sister, a business owner,a blogger, and just as a person!
Mother: As a mother I want to learn how to have more patience with my Baby Bear. Because lets face it. Sometimes I do get irritated with her. She is two and has reached the age of pushing limits when she can. I also need to learn patience with her with potty training. I want so desperately for her to use the big girl potty but she just doesn't want to. I want to take her out more to play and do more crafty activities. Being stuck indoors is no fun for her sometimes. I want to let her help me cook more. It is believe it or not something that she seems to really enjoy doing which I love because it's a family bonding experience! Baby Bear is the best thing that ever happened to us and I want to be the best possible mother for her that I can be!
Wife: As a wife I want to work more on showing Papa Bear just how much he is loved and appreciated. He does so much for our little family and sometimes I just assume that he knows how Baby Bear and I feel. But I know that I feel good when someone lets me know that they love or appreciate me, so I want to make sure he knows that he is. I also want to find good ways to spend our alone time together and hopefully find a way to get just a little more alone time with each other! I love that man more than her will ever know and want to be the best that I can for him!
Daughter/Sister: I live a little ways away from my mom and my sisters. I try to talk to them often, but I'll admit that sometimes I go days without speaking to them sometimes. I don't want that to be a permanent thing. You never know where life will take you and I want us to be a close family no matter where we are!
Business Owner: As some of you know I started a business this year called TKC Designs. It has been a whirlwind and a learning experience at the same time! I think that it has done great so far. But I want to work this year on building that business. I want to build it but not let it take over my life at the same time. In the past when I have had a design I have let it consume me until it is done! I need to work on balancing my time and only working when I know I can do it. I am a mother, wife, daughter, and sister before I am a business owner so that is how I should look at it. Don't get me wrong I will still work like crazy when I am working. I just need to make sure I'm not neglecting my family at the same time! Here is to hoping that these changes will help my business flourish!
Blogger: Recently I have decided to change my approach to how I do my blog. Blogging is something I love doing for so many reasons! I have met so many amazing people that I consider to be dear friends now and I have found what I want to do for the rest of my life through blogging. I have just realized that even though it is a personal blog I may not want to share every personal detail of my life.There are some crazy/creepy people out there in the world and I want to protect myself and my family from them! Along with the privacy changes I am thinking about doing themed posts! I have seen lots of other bloggers do it and it looks so fun!
Personally: I have some personal changes I want to do just for me. Aside from all of the changes listed above. haha! I want to work harder to balance personal and professional life. I want to become more organized. Some of you may already think I am a neat freak but I feel I can do better! I want to work on being healthier and more active. I want to start getting more experimental with my cooking ( I may or may not be in a cooking rut ) so that dinner is more fun for everyone! I want to learn new ways to start saving money. Now that I think about it these could go on forever so I think I may just stop here. haha
I do have a lot of changes I would love to make this year. But lets be honest. Not every change will be easily done. I will just do my best to get as much as I can done in these twelve months and I will take you along with me on this journey!
