Piggy

Well Baby Bear woke up at 1am this morning and refused to go back to sleep. So here we are sitting on the couch and watching Phineas and Ferb. I figured what else should I do at this hour but write up a post or two. This one is just for you Allie!

When I got up this morning I had a comment on one of my posts from her and she said she wanted to see a picture of Piggy. So I figured what better way to show her a picture than to tell her all about Piggy!

In 2008 Papa Bear and I went to a Christmas party at my Aunt's house and this adorable little puppy was there.

The puppy belonged to my cousin and needed a good home. After a little thought we brought her home with us. She was such a good puppy and potty trained quickly, started learning tricks, and cuddled with me non stop! She also had this stuffed bear that she always cuddled with and it was so cute! She was like my own little fur-baby!

About two months after getting Piggy we found out that we were pregnant. She actually got even sweeter then. She gave me extra cuddles. If I was ever upset or didn't feel good she made sure she gave me attention and tried to make me feel better. When I started to show and get rounder she would start laying her head across my belly and cuddling with me that way. She was already sweet to Baby Bear. 

Well when we had Baby Bear and it was almost time to bring her home we sent home some of the receiving blankets and giving them to her to sleep with. We came home with our new baby and she did great! Aside from being super excited to see me she just was curious as to what the tiny little 5.5lb thing we were always holding was. 

As our daughter has grown so has Piggy. They are now best friends. This dog lets Baby Bear do anything to her. She often sits on her, pulls her ears, grabs her tail, and just hits beats Piggy. Half of the time this poor dog won't even budge. She truly loves this little girl!

Now that you have seen my dog what do you think? 

I know that a lot of people hear the word pitbull and they run away or make this really mean face. I will say that each and every one of them are wrong though. Piggy is a full blooded rednose pitbull and she is the best dog that I have ever had (I have had a lot of dogs) and she is amazing with my little girl. If I had the chance to do it all over again I would definitely choose to take Piggy home with me all over again!
