A New Year

Last night we said "Good-bye" to 2011 and "Hello" to 2012. Normally New Years isn't a huge deal to me, but this time it actually is. I have seen alot of posts that are recapping 2011 and posting links to their favorite blog posts. I would love to do that but I think this year I will do it a little differently. I will give a general recap on 2011 and then share some of my goals and aspirations for 2012.

2011

Now that I look back on 2011 I realize that it was a fairly uneventful year as far as huge milestones go.

 As far as being parents go, it was a great year. It was the year that Sydney started to really be mobile. She started walking December 10, 2010 so in 2011 we were learning to deal with a wild child.  Baby Bear  celebrated her 2nd birthday and her 3rd Halloween and Christmas! She became a lot more fun to have holidays with this year.  We did take away the pacifier.  Baby Bear  FINALLY  started sleeping through the night (within the past two weeks).She developed into the amazing little toddler that she is this year! 

Personally it was a fairly eventful year. 2011 was the year that I really discovered blogging. I started keeping up with my blog and I started doing one for  Baby Bear .  Because of blogging I have met a couple of amazing friends and I discovered what I want to do with my life. I want to go to school for Web Design! This year I opened my own business called TKC Designs. It's still starting up but I have only made a profit so far! 

As a family we have been through some hard times this year. We won't focus on those though. I will say that this year we discovered that Georgia is not where we want to stay and raise a family. We just can't give  Baby Bear  the life that we want here. We also realized that we want to possibly extend our little family in the coming year.

See, it wasn't too eventful, but it was a year for learning if that makes sense.  

2012

This year is the year that we start changing things in our life for the better! I have quite a few goals for 2012. When I was little I would write all of my goals on a piece of paper and stick it somewhere that I could find on January 1 of the next year and cross off what I had actually accomplished. This year my blog will be that piece of paper. It only seems appropriate. 

In 2012:

• We will potty train Baby Bear
• I will get to my goal weight
• We will be a healthier family
• I will start going to school
• I will continue developing TKC Designs
• I will start to physically scrapbook Sydney's life
• I will only grow with my blogging and reach 100 or even 1000 followers
• I will learn to balance life when I have a design to do
• We will start paying back any debt we have
• We will find a place that truly feels like home
• I will do more crafts/baking with  Baby Bear
• I will do more DIY projects
• Papa Bear and I will get married
• We will have another baby

Overall I feel that 2012 will hopefully be a big year for our family. I know that I am feeling very optimistic so far and can't wait to start all of my new goals. I have a post or two that I need to do to catch up. I have some big news (well it's big to me) to share in a couple of days. I don't want to jynx it ( no I'm not pregnant).
