Violet

1.19.2012

Okay, so a little while back a friend of mine, Erin (love this girl), posted about how her son got the Scout dog for Christmas and it actually helped them get a little bit of sleep. Well when she said this it gave me an idea for a post about the female version of Scout, Violet.
On Baby Bear's first birthday she got Violet and immediately we loved it. She would push all of the buttons and laugh at it. We programmed it to talk about all of her favorite things and to call her by name. This was her favorite toy! It went on road trips with us and everything. We have been through so many sets of batteries with Violet that it's not even funny! Well here is Violet over a year later.
This is still one of her favorite toys. In fact she is sitting right beside me as we speak watching Little Einsteins with Violet at her side. She absolutely loves that dog, and there are just some things she won't do without her. You want to hear something funny though? Violet no longer uses batteries. One day I realized that Sydney didn't love Violet for her buttons anymore because she has fallen in love with something else on her. Are you curious? Well, here it is!
It's the tags!
When we take her to bed she flips Violet upside down and runs her fingers over the tags. I don't know why but this is so funny to me. You would thing that she would be that way with all of her stuffed animals (because she has way too many), but nope it is just Violet's tags. No others will do! This is such a funny little quirk for Baby Bear but I think it is just freaking adorable. Give her Violet and her pink giraffe print blankie (which is falling apart) and she will almost always calm down and relax enough to fall asleep.
I love my little girl and her many quirks!
** By the way does anyone have any tips on how to wash Violet?**
